In this role, you’ll be a key part of the team at the center of the conception, design and execution of integrated, cross channel marketing initiatives spanning video, web, print, mobile, email and social media. The Designer role lets you combine your strengths in designing, production, ideation and concepting into a unique, rewarding role. In this role, you will be part of a creative team that works on projects spanning video, print, interactive, mobile, and social media. You will work with our in-house clients to conception and produce high profile work. You’ll be counted on to be an expert in designing for marketing efforts, social media as well as for crafting mutil-channel campaigns. The person we are looking for has experience working on multiple projects for multiple teams..
ARE YOU QUALIFIED?
If you inspect the kerning on menus more than the actual food, if you can spot a pixel out of place from across the room, if you pick out six packs based on the layout of label and reference “The Design of Every Day Things” at least once a day, then you have design fever and we want you.
We need an idea person, a creative brain with a vision, who can design. This person must feel comfortable working in multiple mediums (print, video and interactive) as well as be able to integrate both strategic and a conceptual elements into their work. And as a key part of the creative team, we need an idea person who can help to bring “our voice and vision” to the forefront.
Designers at EF get involved with conception, design, and execution of all media for integrated, cross channel initiatives including: video, web, print, mobile, email, and social media marketing. The person we are looking for must be comfortable doing this and has been in the game for a bit- perhaps having worked at an agency before? Our Designer must be a person who will take great pleasure in making international and domestic travel irresistible. We do not merely want you to contribute to all the great things we are already working on, we want you to pipe in and say, “Hey, I have some ideas.” Besides pitching your fantastic ideas as part of our team, you will be designing all sorts of materials and experiences for video, interactive properties, catalogs, travel itineraries, letters, postcards, emails and the like for our tour-related products. You will work with our marketing departments, our writers and our UX teams.
And- you should be enthusiastic and willing to learn and of course, you play nice with deadlines, and your best buddy is the entire CS Suite (but mostly InDesign).
You want to be rewarded for your efforts and know that you’ve made a difference. You’re responsible, outgoing and organized. You’re comfortable speaking up and doing what it takes to keep a project on schedule and budget…and make it great. The idea of a cubicle makes you twitch, which is okay because we don’t like them either and you won’t find a single one at our office.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
- 3+ years as a designer / art director with in-agency experience including creative work, a huge plus.
- Strong understanding of strategic direction.
- Strong understanding of direct marketing principles.
- A keen sense of branding, design, and the capabilities of the mediums that you will work in (video, print, web, mobile, etc.)
- Excellent conceptual as well as design skills.
- Highly organized, including the ability to adapt gracefully to changing priorities and multiple projects with a high level of accuracy.
- Expert in Photoshop / InDesign and good working knowledge of other design tools
- Proficiency with web design tools and knowledge of file optimization for web and ad media a plus
- Highly motivated, self-starter.
