Position Summary

Under the direction of the Field Supervisor, provides Home Support Services to clients in accordance with a pre-established care plan. Assists with activities such as meal planning and preparation, safety checks, laundry and shopping.  

Qualifications

  • Grade 12.
  • Class V BC Driver’s License and use of own vehicle.
  • Recent, related experience of three months, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience or other qualifications determined to be reasonable and relevant to the level of work.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Ability to establish and maintain rapport with clients.
  • Ability to observe and recognize changes in clients.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with clients, family and care team.
  • Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
