Trane’s sales internship allows participants experience a program focused on exploring Technical Sales and energy services as a future career. The opportunity to join our industry leading Technical Sales Graduate Training Program (GTP) upon graduation is available to those who choose to pursue a career as a Sales Engineer and Account Manager. As a Sales Professionals and our customers in the design, application and sale of complete systems to include Building Automation Controls, as well as Parts and Services for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings. These systems include the world's most complete line of commercial, industrial and institutional heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment and building management controls. Our structured twelve-week program will challenge and further develop your technical, business, sales account management and communication skills. It will give you a clear picture as to what a career in sales engineering with Trane is all about.
Throughout your 12-week internship at one of our nationwide locations, you will be exposed to the many facets of Trane’s businesses: Energy, Services, Equipment, Building Automation, Application, Fulfillment and much more. You will attend sales meetings, business functions, sales and service calls and customer meetings alongside experienced account managers and mentors. You will understand all the steps a sales engineer takes from start to finish on a job and will be hands-on in those steps throughout the internship. In addition, you will gain an appreciation for the importance of the relationship with our customers as you work with many of them on a daily basis as a point-of-contact while creating a sense of ownership and importance in the solution-making process.
At the conclusion of the internship you will have the opportunity to discuss future options in exploring our Graduate Training Programs putting your career on track to become a Sales Engineer for Equipment, Services, or Building Automation Systems.
Qualified candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering or other technical field, possess solid teamwork skills and demonstrate confidence in their presentation and written communication skills. Successful Sales Engineers enjoy being goal oriented, be internally motivated to represent industry leading products in the market place and possesses a strong desire to sell.
To be considered for Trane’s Graduate Training Programs and begin your career as a Sales Engineer you must be eligible for employment in Canada without sponsorship, hold a valid Driver’s License and provide proof of insurance and meet our successful background check requirement.
